*** Let's all help saimo bring out a New Game coming for OS4.x ***
Hi everybody, I've had the pleasure to try out an original, addictive new game by saimo (Simone Bevilacqua) who we all know has brought us glUAE, BOH, KOG, MEMO for our classics & now his latest creation is Huenison homepage linky
Problem is the game is only for PC right now as his old A1-XE has called it quits after numerous attempts to have it patched up. I say we band together and help him purchase a new Sam460/A1-500 or X1000 as all his work is done on his Amiga! If we got together to buy a Sam460 for DJnick to give us some wallpapers surely we can help out Simone a little bit too We all know that times have been rough lately so Anyone that wants to help out with the cause can donate at glUAE's homepage (donate button at bottom left of screen)(donate linky). Why would we buy him some PPC computer?
If he does everything on an Amiga, we should all put some £££ in a pot and buy him a nice A4000. Edit: Another question, why did you buy someone else a ppc computer to make wallpapers? Ordinary computers can do that. |

Point is he is not asking for a dime from anyone. His old A1XE is dead & he tried to do it numerous times but no luck. As I am a big fan of his previous work and want to see his new game come to fruition I have donated some money I help him pay for his new machine.
I'm sure other amigans who know of his work will hopefully contribute if they wish to do so & hence why I felt compelled to start this thread. |

The donate link goes to a site for porting UAE to those odd PPC computers.
There is no mention of of his game there, or that his computer is broken. It does suggest he's breaking the GPL by restricting the use and distribution of his UAE variant though. Not to mention not releasing sources. Last edited by SS454; 19 November 2012 at 03:11. |

@all Sorry, but I can't afford to discuss about Huenison everywhere, so, if anybody is interested, please refer to the AW thread (it's the first I noticed) and/or to the pages linked on the website. Thank you. |

Oh I see, it's just some scripts? My mistake. Wait, you bothered creating a site and reserving rights over some scripts?
buy your own computer. |

forgot to mention that Simone has also brought us MEMO for our classics !
'MEMO is a card memory game with some nice features, among which a simultaneous 2-player mode which adds the fun of battling a friend in real time. You can find all the details on its website at MEMO webpage The game is available for free download and glUAE users can get it downloaded, configured and installed for transparent emulation by the specific helper available on the HELPERS page of the glUAE website |

seriously I see you are relatively new but please first try to do some research, read and understand what you are speaking about before making such foolish comments.

lol this thread is funny, can I get a new computer too?
Joking aside though that game looks nice, not everyone can afford the computer that can run it though. Last edited by Kitty; 19 November 2012 at 19:10. |

sure, instead of making useless attempts at humour, why not spend some time helping Amiga by authoring anything close to these projects:
http://www.retream.com/MEMO/ http://www.retream.com/glUAE/ http://www.retream.com/BOH/ http://www.retream.com/ESA/ http://www.retream.com/MOM/ & hopefully soon to be: http://www.retream.com/Huenison/ & even for us guys that still revere the might c64! http://noname.c64.org/csdb/release/?id=108448 then you MIGHT be lucky enough to have a fan of your work half way around the world that will want to help you out a little bit |

Let everyone here make their own minds up regarding donating, also, I don't see why people shouldn't voice their own opinions in this thread, after-all, they're entitled to dig a bit before they part with anything first

Interestingly it also runs on cheap fast ordinary pcs. So I don't see why his broken hobby ppc computer matters.

What part of my original post & post no.3 do you not understand? Or is it that you just enjoy making snide remarks about something you are not interested in ? |

So you want us to give him money for a ppc computer, so that you can play the game on your ppc computer. Even though you could just use a pc.
And he isn't even asking for us to do it. hmm. Maybe you would have better luck asking people who have those funny ppc computers. |
