Does CAPS want these ?

I've flicked through the CAPS list and tried to work out which games I've got that CAPS might need and came up witht the following list:
  • Conflict - Middle east political simulator
    • I've got a budget edition, I'm fairly certain it's got save games on the disk.
  • Fun School 3 (For The Under 5s)
    • Full retail edition, only used the original a couple of times, most of the time a copy was used so the original should be in good shape.
  • James Pond: Underwater Agent
    • Budget edition, I don't think it saves games/highscores, but I got this one second hand I think so don't know if anythings been modified on it.
  • Talking Coloring Book, The
    • I'm sure I've got this as part of a PD collection, although HOL seems to list is a commercial release. I doubt my copy was duplicated from the commercial version master.
  • Tetra Quest
    • Budget. You're supposed to be able to save games to disk, but it never worked for me ( I don't think) so I guess this disk might be good ?
  • Maths Adventure
    • Full retail edition, only used the original a couple of times, most of the time a copy was used so the original should be in good shape. Some of the accessories (like the solar powered calculator) it came with are probably a bit trashed/lost.
If CAPS want any of these I'll try and dig them up.

Also I've got a game which I can't remember what its called but HOL don't list it so I guess CAPS don't have it. It was a turn based hexagonaly board strategy game produced by SSI, in the box it had a plastic box with an inlay for the disk.

Yes, all of them please.
JP is not needed though, we probably have all the versions.

Although it's not by SSI do you perhaps mean Tank Attack ?

no it's not. I'm 99% certain it was by SSI. Also another point is that all control was by keyboard and I don't think it supported mouse at all, which I guess suggests it was a fairly early strategy game.

no, I don't think so, at least none of the names jump out at me.

Incidently how comprehensive is HOL, as I noticed it didn't have Maths Adventure either ?

It's reasonably comprehensive, but we're still adding new commercial entries.

Is Maths Adventure different to Adventures In Math? http://hol.abime.net/3482

have you considered scanning in adverts/catalogues from magazines which list lots of games and having some sort of automatic checking system to identify games which you've missed ?

We add adverts to the hol (where appropriate) to the misc screenshots tab.

We have found a lot of catalogues (esp the ones that list titles that a computer shop are selling) to be fairly inaccurate - as a general rule we will only add an item to the hol if there is some sort of positive confirmation of its existence eg. a box or advert scan.

wouldn't they generaly be correct cumulatively (i.e taking a large number of adverts and then seeing how often each game appears and assuming the ones that appear only in one company's adverts are incorrect). Actually thinking about it, something like that would also be useful for tracking things like when games started being sold or how a games popularity changes over the years.
