AEROS, worth a try or waste of time?

It seems its coming along nicely... Anyone registered and using it on a Raspberry Pi?
https://www.aeros-os.org/

I know there are a lot of "Why"(s) with a obscure Linux distro running AROS on top on hobbyist hardware.. but the interest for me is (among other things) to see if a Raspberry Pi 2/3 could be a meaningful platform for a modern Amiga OS. (Ye, they should have started porting Amiga OS4.1 to ARM ages ago, no? The OS4 could have been a big deal today instead of falling deeper into obscurity by the minute...)

I tried it a long time ago on the original Pi.

Worked reasonable well except the graphics were too slow (no native support). In the end it served no purpose for me so i only booted it up a handful of times.

This may have been addressed with newer AEROS releases?
