A1200 rev2B motherboard
So while searching on the internet I read that the A1200 rev2B motherboard was developed by Amiga Technologies.
Source: http://eab.abime.net/showpost.php?p=452564&postcount=2 "The 2B (Atechnologies) is a bastardisation of the 1D4 & 1D3 so I'd probably steer clear of that one." http://eab.abime.net/showpost.php?p=452681&postcount=15 "'ve got an Amiga Technologies A1200 which has a PAL rev. 1D4 board. They must have been using up old Commodore stock before they started using their own rev 2Bs." Is this information correct? If yes where these released still branded Commodore? Or always under the Amiga label? |

The 2B was the very last A1200 revision from Commodore. Amiga Technology and Escom used this revision and the 1D4 to offer the later models. Their versions had 3.1 ROM's and the FDD control was altered to suit PC type FDD's.
The way you differentiate the boards is simple; the Commodore 2B's and 1D4's have their company title "Commodore Electronics LTD". The Escom's don't have this on any of their 1D4 or 2B boards. |
