Question about Beamraced

Hi Everyone,

I'm trying to use Beamraced from a long time but it never worked and it's not easy to find informations (I read the technical documentation but...not easy)

I tried to use Beamraced 1,2,3,4 etc... Beamraced 50/60hz 1,2,3,4 and it's always the same result : lags in scrolling or/and music.

Maybe I understood it's necessary to have a 50hz monitor and mine is only 60hz/75hz. Is it the main problem ?

Of course, I choose 50hz in the "FPS adjust" option.

Beamracing isn't as much about fluidity as about latency - by using it there's less delay between pressing a key/button and having it on screen.

For fluidity you need either:
1. vsync off (but there will be tearing)
2. 50Hz mode for PAL Amiga (perhaps you can create one in your graphics card driver)
3. or best - monitor with variable refresh rate (vrr/freesync/gsync) which solves all fluidity problems, tearing and some latency.

50/60Hz monitor support (or 100Hz/120Hz) is always required for smooth scrolling. Any good VRR monitor handles both.
