I may have put the wrong ADF link in

It should be working now. Looks like the right version to me (i.e. includes the animals and fruit) but if it isn't I'm sure someone will let me know

I've just set the pole position on Lemon Amiga, 1.4 million - so that's the score to beat. Good luck everybody (on Lemon! - hope we win)

Who voted for Pang? Does anyone have a good source for the game.

I downloaded the ADF linked in top post, but so far I have had the game freeze on me once and crash on me twice (once in OCS and once in ECS)
It crashes everytime you score 0 points (I was trying to see the top scores quickly), with guru code: 00000004.35303030

Does anyone have a WinUAE setup that works?

FYI: Despite having a rankings board, this version doesn't save scores to the disk

Pang is a lot harder than I remember it. I keep zooming up to around lvl 15 and then I lose all my lives on the same level

Try quickstart A500 512+512 most compatible setting, no JIT or anything like that, but you can turn on floppy turbo to speed loading times up. The .ADF that Graham linked to works perfectly fine.

This version works fine on my real A500, but I remember I had played it (different versions) in WinUAE like last year on my laptop, (haven't checked it on other computers or recently), and the second player randomly activated part way through the game, even if I had turned the touch pad off.

WinUAE settings (Port 1 Windows Mouse, Port 2 Keyboard Layout A (Numeric keypad, 0 and 5 = fire)).

I had also changed Port 1 to None one time and the player still appeared part way through the game (last year).

Pretty sure that none of the ADFs save the high scores unfortunately.

@Leffman

I can't remember if you've entered the compo before or not but I'll say "welcome!" just in case you haven't

Thanks! I've played once before, hopefully I'll do better this round.

errr... just had the game return to the title screen mid-game (level 1 thank goodness).

However, just discovered a major cheat in this hacked game. Press space once during any stage to instantly (well... after a couple of seconds) complete it!

For the record, my current legit score is 153,800.

Minimum cheat score is 498,000

Edit2: Pressing J returns to title screen - doesn't always work straight away

It says 'Press Space Next Stage' at the Proj Inc screen, I don't think it can be turned off. I know a different way to cheat, but I won't say how. I'll PM Graham about it.

Obviously all I can say is that I hope people don't bother cheating and play within the spirit of the competition, just like any other game. And surely it would be a bit pointless anyway as I get the feeling a score gained by cheating/leeching etc is going to be reasonably simple to spot.

I agree with you, but thought I'd better point it out sooner rather than later.

I seem to really suck at this game right now Hopefully lot's of practice over the weekend will rectify that.

I completely agree with you. Under my normal A600 settings it freezes and sometimes crashes. Using the settings suggested by Leffmann (quickstart A500 512+512 most compatible setting, no JIT or anything like that) it returns to the main menu after a random number of seconds in any level

Will keep trying, but don't have much hope...

Yeah you're right, I've noticed this with the .ADF now too, but the WHDLoad-install works like it should.
