I'm too lazy to leave a review so I just made this youtube video instead, thanks for your amazing work DamienD, it's an absolute joy just to play stuff without having to tinker around.

Thanks for that Odyssey

I see that you were also using Xbox 360 wireless controllers; as you know, Toni has made it very easy to switch to these by just:

BTW, you can just double-click on a game to play... you don't need to select "Load" and then "Start"

Also, with Code name Hell Squad... use the "Hellsquadfast" and "Enginefast" icons to launch the game as these are for AGA Amiga; which the configuration is set for.

I guess I really should have removed the "Hellsquad" and "Engine" icons after installation.

I love this project. There were always so many Amiga titles that I wanted to play. I was always frustrated because of the difficult setup process. This collection, however, appears to be the solution to my problems.

@DamienD : Running out of space, I have reinstalled your DDWC in a new HD (up to upd pack #18 so far). I took this opportunity to run a script I have made some years ago (have adapted it) to check if all game folders were containing "game files" (adf, ipf, hdf, iso, etc.).
And I was surprised to see that some folders contain only the screen-shots.
After having a closer look I have seen that they are "cartridge" like game. Was such game available for Amiga back in time or were they arcade one ?
Code:
PACK
----
BASE: "Aaargh! Arcadia"
BASE: "Blastaball Arcadia"
BASE: "Delta Command Arcadia"
BASE: "Leader Board Arcadia"
BASE: "Magic Johnson's Fast Break Arcadia"
BASE: "Ninja Mission Arcadia"
BASE: "Roadwars Arcadia"
BASE: "SideWinder Arcadia"
BASE: "Spot Arcadia"
BASE: "Voyager I" *
 12 : "World Darts Arcadia"
3 : "World Trophy Soccer Arcadia"
BASE: "Xenon Arcadia"
* Voyager I -> game file has an EXE extension

These are arcade games based on Amiga hardware and I believe there in the ROMs directory

Yes these are arcade ROMs and located in the "C:\WinUAE\ROMs" directory.

You set them up via the "ROM" section i.e:

How about AMOS games? I had that back in the day, though I never actually made anything with it. That is a tendency of mine for some reason. I have some game maker software right now in my Steam library that hasn't been touched. (Even Super Mario Maker for Wii U- never made a single level!)

There was also Adventure Construction Set- I still have that theme music running through my head. I think it was the C64 version I had though rather than the Amiga.

It would be interesting to see any of these added, but no worries about doing it since they aren't games per se, just creation tools.

[EDIT: Sorry Damien- went a bit off topic here responding to the mention of SEUCK.]

I don't think, for the purposes of this collection, that game-maker games might not necessarily be excluded.

The aim of Damien's collection (beyond reliving his early Amiga days) is to collect the best of the best that the Miggy has to offer. If a game-maker game - even SEUCK, if possible - is a good game, then it qualifies to be included.

My reasons for this are that although a game made in say, RedPill or Backbone will have insane system requirements we're strictly emulating where system resources are plentiful. So although people who release games for Amiga hardware that requires huge outlays in extra hardware tend to get pillaged, and rightly so, it doesn't necessarily mean that the game is bad.

Guys, there are games in my collection that are Blitz Basic / AMOS / GRAC / RedPill and even Backbone... just not many.

As Dunny has said:

...and I've also commented about this many times, see here.

Please accept my apologies as I though you were looking at AMOS games differently since recently.

As earok has released the new, improved v1.3 of Time Gal, I've updated the .HDF in my collection

So, please just do the following:
  • Download the file "Time Gal AGA v1.3 HDF.rar" from the EAB File Server under the directory "~Uploads/DamienD/HDFs".
  • Extract into "C:\WinUAE\Games\Time Gal AGA".

Given the news that earok has released v1.3B of Time Gal (reverted back to original zoom level), I've updated the .HDF in my collection again

So, please just do the following:
  • Download the file "Time Gal AGA v1.3B HDF.rar" from the EAB File Server under the directory "~Uploads/DamienD/HDFs".
  • Extract into "C:\WinUAE\Games\Time Gal AGA".
