ReAmiga 3000 boards - where to order?

Hi!

Does someone have a hint for me as to where I can order/get a ReAmiga 3000 board? I'd like to keep busy over the holidays (and avoid spending too much time with the family ).

I don't want to put in a PCB-order with a minimum quantity of 5 :/

Does someone know of a store? Or know someone who starts a group order?

Thanks,
Florian

I suggest you ask Chucky, he can probably sell you one.

This is an AGA A3000 with DSP Sound & PCI slots as well. - Cracking bit of kit.

I might have a PCB for you (ReA3000 SMD in green, ENIG, 1OZ copper on all layers).
I actually tried to buy a PCB from Chucky on AmiBay and also directly by mail but it seems that Chucky is busy otherwise (as is his right).
So I've ordered 5 of which I only need one (which is working already and mostly done).

I faced the same problem and the didn't buy the 5. I'll buy one off of you, if you're Zwilling to sell&ship and can agree on a price. I'll send you a DM!

If you're going to re-make an A3000 motherboard then surely you'd make an AA3000+ & Firebird daughter card?

Did you recently check price and availability of the extra components required for this upgrade? I don't want to use that nasty word "RARE" associated with so many eBay wares these days but...

€177 isn't too bad?

Nothing compared to the price of an Amber required for normal ReAmiga A3000

Or SuperDMAC needed for both.

Absolutely!

£177 is as cheap as "Chips".

& yes.... Why wouldn't you do the AA3000+ on a Re-Amiga?

<sigh>

...and this price list is 2 years old! Yes, you can subtract the reusable chips from this list but you still need quite a bit more than the AGA chip set.

<sigh>

Cross off everything on that list that is common to both builds. Then cross off chips required for additional functionality (you don't need to populate for it to work) and you're left with... dada the A4000 AGA chipset (and one or two very cheap components).

The extra components required for a normal ReAmiga 3000 is considerably more than AA3000+ due to the Amber scandoubler, 2MB Agnus and ZIP RAM

Did you forget about the PGA 68030 and the 72 pin SIMM sockets? Did you also eliminate components for the 24 bit AGA scan doubler and Ratte monitor switch?

What extra components for a ReAmiga are required? There are just options to replace thru-hole passives with SMD, ZIP sockets with 72 pin SIMM sockets and the Varta battery with the small (button style) clock battery.

Ok, so you had some lessons from Larry, Moe and Curly. LOL!

Thanks - this is an interesting discussion. I'll read up some more on AA3000+ - I didn'T have that on my radar.

For context: this would be more for a *new* machine, rather than for replacing a damaged, existing A3000. So I would indeed need most parts, chips and wouldn't be able to harvest them from a previous A3000.

These days, it's pretty much about "what parts you can source, that Amiga you can build". That notion also applies to Hese's designs. Especially the Altera CPLDs are quite hard to obtain (in working order).

I chose the ReAmiga3000 for my project because I had a 8372B, DMAC-02 and Ramsey04 in my inventory. I also didn't want another Prometheus/Firebird daughterboard as it delays each boot considerably (unless you run it with an EC040).

The original A3000D daughterboard can also be used with the AA3000+ if the Prometheus boot delay buggs you.
