That's interesting... thanks.... I don't have Turboprint so I guess the next question is which USB Printers does the latest version of Turboprint support?
You still have to have a specific driver for your printer - yes?

Unless Amigakit knows I will drop the Turboprint website an email to find out.

We use HP Laserjets as most we have tested work with the Amiga. This is because they support the standard HP Printer Control Language. However avoid some printers which are 'Windows' printers - they are completely driven and controlled by the Windows printer software. Manufacturers do this to save on component costs within the printer and get the host computer to drive the printer. An example is the HP Laserjet 1000 which will not work with the Amiga, however the more expensive HP Laserjet 1100 will work with the Amiga.

We have a HP Colour LaserJet 2500 here in the office as well - it has no Amiga printer driver but can be connected via USBparallel.device

When we send it a PDF or Postscript file (from Ghostscript) it prints it as it has a Postscript interpreter built into the hardware. This is very useful for printing from APDF, Ghostscript and Pagestream. Even Wordworth has a Print to Postscript option.

I do not know if this topic is the right place, but I have a silly question about USB printers with Amiga

Does anyone think it is possible to reverse a USB to parallel cable?

I mean: buy a USB to parallel cable and connect AMIGA parallel port to printer usb port, using a USB-A to USB-B adapter on the printer side.

Sounds absurd, but perhaps could I give it a try?

I doubt it. I believe the USB to parallel cable includes something to tell the USB thing that what's it is connected to is.a printer. So even if you could fake the other end, your printer would believe it had a printer attached to it...

https://www.startech.com/en-gb/cards-adapters/icusb1284 What else is needed, the USB adapter?

-EDIT- Nevermind, I think I misunderstood the brief!

For my printing on Amiga needs; I have an HP Laserjet (it's an all in one, but any printer that supports network JetDirect should work) with the NetPAR driver. Granted this requires your Amiga to be on the network...
