@ Photon & TheDarkCoder: you know what guys? You've convinced me. After all, .exe extensions for Amiga executables isn't very retro is it?

From now on I'll release prods the way the Amiga gods intended - with no file extension!

Heh, just a pet peeve for some it seems. And I forgot to congratulate you on being the first to release in the new forum

Some great music. My personal favourites are ADSR - The Dub, Brain Fluid, Echobelly and Sine-ister.
I love the simple cartoony design too

Reminds me of Acorn disks where filenames had ! at the start to get sorted to top

Anyway, it's not a biggie about the .exe thingy - but I think the 3-letter extensions didn't creep in until the BBS / Windoze era, and they're not necessary.

Another advantage that I like a lot with prods is when the executable is named identically to the folder, so you don't have to list and type but just go "uparrow Enter".

But that's probably only cos I always start my demos from the CLI, by old habit (to give A500/1mb demos the most available memory).

True to my word, my most recent release has no .exe extension

Can be found on my site in case you were wondering...

I always start demos from the CLI too!

Unless there's a WHDLoad install for the demo, what other way is there?

At boot-up?
No typing required - insert disk, hit reset and off she goes...

StingRay did already a WHDLoad install. Works fine, except the bonus/hidden stuff.

Just saw this - it's so, so good to know people are writing stuff for the Amiga still. Thanks Retro / PMC / h0FFman!

I might have to fire up devpac.

No probs man, glad you enjoyed it.

And yes, there are people still coding and releasing old skool stuff for the Amiga - most of them more talented than me I might add.

This was actually one of four (very) little bits of code released by me this year, the other three being an intro for Resistance for Solskogen 2011, a hidden part for h0ffman's fantastic 8-Bit Jungle music mix and a trainer for Flashtro's new crack and fix of the game Crackdown.

They're all available on my website as well if you're curious.

If I can get up the energy I should be releasing some more stuff this year too.

Yep, this caused me to hunt down your website and other productions. I really must dust off my 68k skills and give it another go. Problem is before I didn't really spend the time to properly understand what I was doing: need to put some effort into it...

Whatever I do will be for OCS Amiga, as that's the pinnacle of tech for me

Hey everyone,

I just tried to snag this but ftp.untergrund.net appears to be down. At least when I try to connect, I get the error "Can't change directory to /var/ftp/" and then I get told login failed.

Is there a mirror where I can grab this elsewhere?

As you say, the ftp backend for untergrund.net is currently down. It's being worked on I understand but until it's fixed downloads from my site (and any others on untergrund.net) will be unavailable.

EDIT: upped it to the zone so it will be available from there for you.
