Melnok version works, but as I wrote earlier it's the NTSC version which runs too slow on PAL hardware.

You cruel man, he had a weekend until you posted this.. Now he will be spending it debugging the firmware...

Sorry about that that.

I have zoned the images just in case they're needed.

Thanks Danko for confirming the issue.
I confirm too. And here is a preliminar firmware correction :

http://hxc2001.com/download/floppy_d...a_firmware.zip

It still have a problem time to time right after the intro screen, but you can anyway now start the game.

Out of interest, whats the problem (with your firmware)? (Mfm decoding, timing etc)

Crystal crack gets stuck on the blue screen after the cracktro (Nincrystal screen) and gurus soon after that.
Two Live Crew crack gets stuck on a black screen after the Art & Magic intro has run and gurus after a while.

Nemesis crack seems to work fine now though.

It was the new 3.0.3.1a fw I tested.

These were the results:

Hi,
Yes there is an IO timing issue with these games, and correct this by software correction will probably be hard.

Anyway there is a workaround for Agony and Risky Woods : Add a jumper on the MO jumper (So you will have S0 + MO).

The drawback of this solution is that you can't have other drive on the floppy bus.

(FYI the good old SD HxC don't have any issue with these game ).

BTW There is an firmware update :

Code:
17 June 2015: Firmware USB HxCFloppyEmulator v3.0.4.0a

	- I2C LCD auto detection/scan and communication improved/corrected

	- Low level pulses generator improved :
		- Code size reduced.
		- 250Kbits/s, 300Kbits/s, 500Kbits/s support (FM/MFM).
		- Variable bitrate & flakey bit support "Ready" ;)

Is the io timing problem due to the hardware?

Hard but not impossible?

How can this be appreciated / what does it imply? Faster (selectable) loading speeds?

Agony IPF 0960 works like a champ now in 3.0.4.0 fw.
Thanks.

Btw, is it possible to disable writeprotection on converted IPF to HFE disks (e.g highscore saving on Agony disk 2) ?

I'll also hijack this thread a bit.

Some of you might remember, but I recently produced new external floppy drives. I've got a lot of questions if just the case and interface will be offered, for the purpose of installation of Gotek.

And indeed, case+interface kit, ready to install Gotek will soon be available at RetroAmi! I did a lot of testing recently, so far it is 100% compatible with Gotek with HxC firmware installed.

Hi,

FYI I moved the HxC software sources to github recently :

https://github.com/jfdelnero

https://github.com/jfdelnero/HXCFE_Amiga_file_selector

https://github.com/jfdelnero/libhxcfe

https://github.com/jfdelnero/HxCFloppyEmulator_software

I am also doing something different with the gotek. Some news soon .
