Ohh, I always loved The One, even when Simon Byron was the editor (Which was, arguably, its worst moment). I wish I had bought it 'til the end of its life, but then after this issue, I just couldn't find it anymore here. Well, I think there were just 2 issues after this one, so I didn't miss THAT much

Exclamation

Although Galactic never saw a commercial release it did see light of day via a special Xmas edition version on a The One Coverdisk mount as a full game. (it originally appeared as a demo in The One several months earlier).

Yes, I know, but I'm referring to the preview screenshots were the main sprite is not like Santa Clause...

The following ones are not unreleased - but some may have different release titles:

East vs West
Fatal Strokes (but probably ultra poor sales make it rare as hell... Anyway "Deborah Design", see worst games thread I think)
Out Run Europa
Ragnarok (cracks known as raganok etc... from people who has no idea what the word means. Watch "Erik the Viking" to find out)

The Chariot game is most likely Carthage

Tracker is definitely dumped

Transputor == Transputer ?

Turbo Charge == Turbo ?

Winter Camp

Was this the game that was on an Amiga Format/Power (don't remember) coverdisk named as Krazy Ivan with a comment that Stavros is looking for a publisher?

on a slightly related note...

i remember getting one of the glossy flyers with my copy of Alien Breed Tower Assault... many moons ago...

...one of the "up & coming" games by Team 17, was a car game, which looked great... not sure if it was going to be released for Amiga or PC or Both...

any ideas?

There are so many rumors about why Land Of Legends never came out. Programmers girlfriend left him and he was heartbroken/programmer was a coke addict etc. I would love someone to clear up the reason this game never shipped. It was advertised on the back of Amiga World forever.

@ IWF:

I know maybe some game appear with another title... unfortunately I've only checked if a game was Tosecized or not, so some games could be released but very hard to find (like Winter Camp!)

Outrun Europa I know it's released, but I have two shots with completely different graphics than the original one!

Turbo Charge is definitely Turbo Charge from System 3. I have pics of the game which is identical to his C64 counterpart.

I don't see any "Tracker" in my Tosec list... maybe I had to take a new list?...

Sorry, but I haven't uderstand... What's the matter between Erik the Viking and Ragnarok?

...and... about Krazy Ivan, really, I don't know. I thought this game was released only by The One as a special Xmas gift...

Well, "Tosecized" normally means widely available. In a topic about HOL rarities chances are you read about stuff that is really rare

Ragnarok:

http://ancienthistory.about.com/cs/norsemyth/

http://www.clubi.ie/~lestat/ofgodsr.html

http://www.thorshof.org/

Erik the Viking plays about Ragnarok in its own Pythonist way...

I don't think that a new tosec list is of much help about Tracker.
However if someone would scan the poster from his C64/ST etc. version... most of you know the rest

I think somewhere I have a scan of the box for the Amiga version of Tracker, although I don't have a "cracked" copy (well, I don't have an uncracked copy either...), nor does anyone else I know, hence it not being in TOSEC. It certainly exists, it's just uncommon as hell.

We are specifically looking for the poster only. It is much easier to grab a non-Amiga version for that purpose, but our funds and time is not endless
Everything else we do have, though if anyone scans the box and stuff it would certainly speed up the release, as Fiath's todo list is longer, than mine...
Actually someone who worked for the company (and whole heartedly supports caps) may get the author of the painting to scan it, but this may take quite a long while and wouldn't be the exact same with the processed image supplied with the box.

So here is the challenge: go and find a non-amiga version (ST/E should be fine) and scan the poster from the box.
The prize is the usual

Arrow Tracker exists!

Tracker definitely exists because I cracked it :-)

The WHDLoad version hasn't been released yet because the stupid save games don't work. Bored Seal even had a look and we couldn't get around it so it has sat around in a playable but not savable state.

It's a custom MFM format game and even comes with it's own backup utility on the disk! :-)

I'll see if I can find some time to try and finish off this install.

Is this real? Sounds like something Free Spirit would do, but I have never heard of it. Do you have any info other than the name?

Well, since it never got a response, I will assume Naked Sex Monsters is a joke and will disregard it. Onto better things...

I was just digging through an old .info magazine and its Coming Soon section, which had some interesting Psygnosis games that never materialized. Here's what they had listed:

Psygnosis: Stryx, Never Mind, Shadow of the Beast, Barbarian II, Infestation, Matrix Marauders, Carthage, Killing Game Show, Flash Dragon, Aquaventura, Gore, Firestone.

This issue was Nov/Dec 1989. Aquaventura was finally released in 1992, but I remember having the demo back in 1990. We'd all but given up on the game ever being released (and when it was, there was noticable differences). The demo was copy-protected, as were most Psygnosis demos, so that explains why no dump seems to exist for this preview (although it was probably cracked and ended up on the nuking-room floor...)

So I have to wonder, then, about Flash Dragon, Gore, and Firestone. How far along were these games? Did demos maybe exist? Were they later renamed and released under the new name (maybe one of them ended up being Leander or something?) Does anyone know any details on this stuff or has anything appeared in Euro or other mags previewing or mentioning these titles? They're pretty much the only games listed on that page that never happened, aside from Circuit's Edge (Infocom) and Revenge of the Sex Vixens (Free Spirit).
