Hi all,

back in Jan 1987, the A1000 was the first computer I owned - I later swapped it for a 2000 which I upgraded to capacity, only to in turn replace it with a 3000 - then came the bleak world of working and the much less bleak world of building a family

And finally, nostalgia has kicked in and I wanted an Amiga again. After getting a friend's A1000 last year, which he unfortunately managed to fry the power supply of when he borrowed it back, I now got another one with pretty much the exact setup that I owned by the end of 1988.

And since it's been giving me a few issues that I have so far been unable for figure out myself, I have found this forum - hope we will have some fun together, can share memories and I can find help to get my Amiga back to life.

FWIW, since I never quite got the hang of Windows, my voyage "post-Amiga" was via several Unixes (incl. Linux, Solaris, IRIX to name a few) to finally stick with MacOS X (for almost 15 years now) - UAE was sort of always present in some way shape or form, but emulation is nothing like the real thing.

Oh btw, I'm from Germany, and apart from my forum nick, feel free to call me "Jerry" like most people I know do
