Magellan changing Lister options

Hi:
I want to play some voice while using the Delete icon, so I'm trying with the Play Command, and it works, but then the Delete fuction doesn't. If I write wrong the Play Command it works, or if I delete it.

There must be something I'm missing to run a command first and then the following:



I tried first running Play16, and it was working, but although being first, it was working after the window asking if you wanted to delete it.

I think this problem is exactly described in the DOpus docs. Look for something like "Additions to Opus Magellan" then "Changes to commands and functions". The "Play" command (and other commands) has a new template:

PLAY      NAME,WAIT=SYNC/S,QUIET/S,ICON/S,VOLUME=VOL/K/N

They say to use:
Command Play RAM:Soundfile WAIT
Command Delete RAM:Soundfile

Thank you very much. Well, in my case I'm not using now WAIT in the first Command, but QUIET, as I don't want the Play window to appear, and now it works right, changing the second command as you say.

Edit: Sorry, no. What it does is to try to delete the aiff song...

I've got the manual. What you tell and it describes is a problem when you want to call a command and then delete the file, that's why it uses WAIT, so it finishes playing it, to delete it later.
My problem is (I believe) that it plays the song, but later Delete doesn't know what to delete, so I should add something so it would delete the selected files (I think), or perhaps something with the Flags, that I don't know how to use.

Edit: It works with the Trashcan icon. I can use Play16 and then the rest works, but in this case they are AmigaDos sentences all of them. As I said in my first post I can use with the delete icon Play16, but although having it first, it first Opens the window to delete it and confirm, and only then plays the song.

You are right with the problem and docs. I tried it on my system but wihtout success. When I use first "Play" and then "Delete" it plays the sound but doesn`t delete. If I use "Play16" and then "Delete" no sound is played but delete works. Really strange.

If you finally delete it (surely you didn't) you will see that after confirming to delete it will play the sound with Play16. Even more strange.

Well, at least I can make like @Dopuser and use the Trashcan icon. I would like to know what commands should I use to play the program "Say" to tell "Are you sure you want to delete this?" with a female voice, like him: [ Show youtube player ]

Or perhaps a nice female voice recorded in mp3 from anywhere (later I can change it).

The thing is that I've tried also with the Trashcan icon to make a request "Are you sure you want to delete this?", and it has to be with a Command (the rest are AmigaDos using Play16), and it happens the same; it makes the request but later there's no sound and anything deleted.

So I really would appreciate to know what commands or AmigaDos sentences are you using with the Trashcan icon to make the request and play the sound

So AmigaDOS command Play16 deos make the job there. Available on Aminet there: http://aminet.net/mus/play/Play16.lha
Delete is AmigaDOS command ver. 37.8 I use.
AmigaDOS command Avail Flush does make memory cleaning by the way of any deleting there.

Play a little then with Environment/Lister Colours in Magellan's Settings there...

Dopuser there's a problem with this options: If you try to delete not one but several files, it will ask for each one of them. Can't that be fixed and ask just once?
