But there is one thing that looks plain wrong in the latest clip. As a Ninja you shoot with a gun, and as the normal guy you throw shurikens. It should be the other way around. I hope you consider to fix it.

I understand the reasoning.

The ninja still the sword attacks, and the magic and special weapons use (mine, rocket and drone).

The first person perspective bonus stage will also feature the ninja with the Uzi rifle.

Most important thing for me is the gameplay to be great, if realism need to sacrified for it, I don't mind.

I wanted to give some news on Shadow Gangs, especially that now I will be designing the final level of the game (regular level, there is still 3 boss levels and the bonus stage not done).

I just finished the factory level with the picture above.

It is the longest level in Shadow Gangs (Mission 4, level 1), and packs gameplay similarities from Shinobi mission 4 levels and mission 3 levels, and Nemesis II msx version .

The msx Nemesis II connection will be apparent when reaching the last section of this level.

One change that we will make is to remove the ninja mask from Dan when he is ninja form. This will be done in the fix phase of the game.

We plan to finish it by the end of 2019, and release it either by the end of 2019 or first half of 2020.

Looks absolutely amazing my friend

...it's obvious how much planning / work / graphics / sounds / detail etc. have gone into this over the past 3+ years; can't wait for the final release

Yes, started in end of May 2015, and since then it's not stop work on it, every day.

I am planning to do the sound effects side after June 2019 (when all the levels will be finished, and the fixes for the characters and levels done).

Jack; you know I've backed you from the very start and still hold true to my £100+ pledge even though the Kickstarter failed (as I'm a man of my word); and have been watching from the beginning

Again, great work and perseverance... it will pay off soon.

Yes, there is other threads too, one where I brought up a slowdown issue that happens when you hit the spiderman with a melee attack (or very close shuriken) while he is still attached to the wall. (In which case he flies away diagonally out of the screen).

If you hit 2 spidermans, or more the game starts to slowdown a lot in the arcade version.

Did you see this video [ Show youtube player ], it I think the world record of Shinobi.

There is an interesting bug on the mission 4 boss. (exploited for score in the video).

This game looks amazing. The fact you guys are willing to work FIVE years on it, really shows its a labour of love.

I hope the game is very sucessfull, it has amazing looks and it looks to be very playable and fun to play.

Just to point that the score is the world record not the finish time.
If you can beat this score, that would be great! (you'll be then master Shinobi with no contest!).

I can point out some infiniste spawns parts not seen on the video. ( And some tips too, on how to maximise the score ).

I also play only in hardest and fast bullets

But this is very useful to get the no shuriken bonus.
(When you throw 256 shurikens, it thinks you didn't throw any 8 bit memory location adding 1 to 1111 1111 resets it back to 0)

Thank a lot.

It will look even more better once we get to the fix and polishing phase.
(The game also use shaders, and there will be bloom, blur, distortions etc...).

Hi everyone,

Had some time, so I made this video, about one of the 2 types of bonus stages in Shadow Gangs, this type, and the 3d perspective one.

Each non boss level will have a pickup to this bonus stage, so 10 in total.
3d perspective bonus stage will be automatic after boss fight.

After the 3d perspective is done, hopefully by the end of July, I will start soon the sound side.

All voiced, Dan voice when talking, bosses voices intro/outro etc...

Hi everyone;

I have been waiting for the implementation of this phase since forever.
Now it's in, and the game is now gameplay complete.
(Still needing intro, outro, menus and fix and balance).

Above is in game pictures of the 3d perspective bonus stage.
This will be happening after each boss.

The other bonus stage is the building where ninjas come out of windows.
