Amiga Format Issue 12_1990 Tape Recording and Scans!
Hi Amiga fans,
I have been digging into old Amiga stuff and found the cover tape for this issue: http://amr.abime.net/issue_168 in my stash. Actually I gave it away to my cousin in 1997, only to steal it back from his stash 6months ago. heh. I see that there is no scan or recordings of it online, so I took the effort to record and scan it for you at 44khz, 16bit with minor noise reduction done in Audition including normalize. Recording was done through a M-Audio 2496 card from my SONY TC-K370 player. The recording is pretty good. Expect some minor tape stereo difference...yeah 80's styleee It can be downloaded from here: http://www.stone-oakvalley-studios.c..._covertape.zip 79mb Edit: New working link posted here thanks to DemonHellraiser! http://fonix.dyndns.org:40000/soamc/...&sl=&sis=N%2FA Contents are: Quote:

What exactly is in it?
The scans at AMR don't show the tape contents! |

I think it would be the examples of a MIDI tutorial? There are separate parts of different riffs: drums, bass, piano, etc, then the music assembled. They used a Yamaha SY77/TG77 synth/sound module for the sound. I have one, so the sound is very familiar. EDIT: Yes the picture at AMR is a SY77 |

Okey, I thought the AMR was an effort to preserve everything regarding the magazines, but I realize now that none of the cover disks are available for download.
That may be an legal issue, if not, it seems like a half-effort to scan the magazines and preserve that but not the disks and that one tape. For me AMR seems like a preservation of the magazine, but I may have misunderstood the logic behind the archive....thats just how I would have done it, preserve everything belonging to the magazines. |

Does anybody still have a copy of this tape, as the link in the first post no longer works.

No problem, took a bit of obvious thinking to find out where it was going to be, just pleased I found it again, and thanks too
It's only taken 2.5 years Without Kitty re-requesting it, I probably would of missed the thread. Anyway, enjoy |

I did a remake of that cassette some years back and forgot to post it here
And yes, the whole thing, cassette included, has been completely re-drawn Also, AMR still haven't added the cover tape |

I have it somewhere Amiga68k, I'll hunt it out for you asap, but real life is getting in the way right now, so I may be a little while.
Just bump the thread in a week or two just to remind me, as hopefully then life will be a little easier |
