No, I think Toni had already discussed this some time ago, something about the latest version of DirectX and it's support libraries not working on anything before Win 98.
I'm sure Toni can elaberate on this one. |

I don't know what's worse, old shitware that takes a coupole of hundred megs of HD space at the most, or new shitware that is so bloated that eats right through all your mem and hd specs.

Dx8 is still the minimum but applications built with latest DX SDK does not support Windows 95 anymore.
And this forum is not for operating system wars. |

If your running on old H/W, you could always try Win98 Lite - a VERY cut down version of W98 - should give at least as good performance as W95, and you can then use WinUAE + DX8 or 9....
