Oh wow! No pressure then!

Yeah, I remember it very well, the first time I ever messaged Magnus about making a game for Amiga. It feels a lot longer than 6 years ago though!

I am in the process of getting ready to put together a new progress video finally showcasing some of the new stuff we've created for the game.
I now 6 years is a very long time to have to wait for a game, but life really did get in the way for me in the worst way.

So, for the sake of clearing up why it's taken so long (and no symapthy, please, people have it far worse than I have had it).
Here's a list of things that happened during the development of Scourge that very nearly stopped me from working on it altogether:

1: My wife and partner of 9 years left me and I got divorced.
2: I had my first D.V.T and very nearly died.
3: I was made redundant and financially very worse off indeed.
4: My father died.
5: I had my second D.V.T, this time with mulitple pulmonary emolisms and nearly died (again).
6: Several of my family members were diagnosed with cancer (ongoing).
7: I lost my house.
8: Coronovirus hit (I got it but recovered but with serious ongoing fatigue) and everything got even more complicated for everybody (I hope you're all safe and well!)

These are just the highlights...there was so much more going on at the same time.

So yes, I know 6 years is a very long time to wait for a simple Amiga game but honestly, I really was trying to get it finished before now!
All I can say is this: we believe it will be worth the wait.

So in the next week I will produce a new video for you all to (hopefully)enjoy.

The one thing I have learned from co-developing Scourge is to not announce it too early! Even when excited to show the community that a new game is coming out! The next game won't even be known about until we're ready to release to save on disappointing people.

I am really REALLY proud of Scourge, so is Magnus. Whenever I play it I get hooked on it for hours. But that's just me.

I am going to take this opportunity to thank all of those who have followed us and supported us throughout these tough few years.

It really will be a very nice game indeed

That really is a bad run you've been through my friend

Take your time with this game Wayne; we all know it will most definitely be worth the wait

@Marskilla: you keep bringing this up; you're like a broken record... please stop pressuring.

The game will be released when Wayne and Magnus complete it; end of!!!

Well, I read the news you posted along the way and I feel real sorry for you. These are terrible events.
How to not send sympathy after a list like that ?

You're right. I won't do this anymore.
It's hard to belive, but I felt wrong every time I did.

The thing is ( I mean "was" ) : I wait for scourge of the underkind to conclude something. Each time a date came out (2018, end of last year, end of this year...) it just started it over.

Sincere apologies, I'll leave you alone.

Marskilla, I really appreciate your passion for our game.
I felt the need to explain not only to you but to others who can't understand why the game has taken so long.
I promise, it will be worth the wait.
