Not really sure why I bought it but it looked interesting and I was after another cd32 anyway, so I am taking a punt on it! Will more than likely need the board recapping and the laser looking at. It only has one CD and that is Laser Quiz Greece XX.

I shall make sure that is imaged/iso'd when I can
PLEASE SIR! I AM FROM GREECE!
I really beg you,for this game!

Finally we got a dump of the CUBO CD32 game Odeon Twister

MEGA THANKS to Carlo Santagostino for providing us this dump

download:

Carlo Santagostino wrote about odeon twist I and II:

odeon twist I and II where the latest games made for the cubo cd32 (both touchscreen)
and were compilations of games (including all the version of laser quiz, with all languages)

found some pictures on the cd, showing title screens in English:

Sorry,my English are not so good...
Do you mean that,in Odeon twist, includes games like laser quiz, including the Greek version?
Also i get an error ....attenzione! memoria non volatile corrotta, sistema bloccato
warning! non-volatile, corrupted memory, locked system
EDIT

Is this patched?
Sorry for all this!

Odeon Twister touchscreen now works correctly and has correct alignment in WinUAE (winuae.7z).

I also added message if PIC accesses are done. (That generally cause game error message)

WinUAE has never needed installation. Simply overwrite executable.

Cubo touchscreen uses lightpen configuration: Use Input panel to configure mouse (probably most optimal choice) or joystick or pad or keyboard keys to lightpen directions/horizontal/vertical. Then configure some button to touch event (Cubo CD32 Touchscreen Touch, near end of event list). Make sure configured device is enabled (checkbox in top/right corner is ticked).

If lightpen is enabled correctly, you should see yellow cursor on screen.

You can also use built-in gameports panel lightpen option but you still need to manually add touch event to some button.

EDIT: Press return to insert coin.

Did you create cubo config from scratch? Previous config is not anymore compatible, you must re-create it by using quickstart cubo config or manually add Cubo expansion device (expansion panel -> custom controllers).

Attach your config file. Check also log (Enable button in misc panel, must be ticked before starting emulation), it is normal that it contains flood of Cubo IO accesses..

new patched Odeon Twister

new patched version of Odeon Twister , playable but still in Italian, can't figure out how to patch this to standard English, which should be possible i think.
Maybe you can set dipswitch in new Winuae beta, but i didn't spend much time on trying. anyway this version should be normal playable, and we wait for improvements maybe in winuae.

you can find this patched version here:

Hi, some news (for CUBO32 emulation, so Toni ).

I was exploring (and rewriting) zennv library and i've found new HW locations.
Seem to be a sort of 'enhanced NVRAM' (2KB, maybe thru SRAM) from location $600000.
Is used a byte every four (only low byte in a long align) so the mem is spanned from start to start+$2000.
This new NV is used if: Akiko present (gbase+$1FC!=0) and $601f3c(+3) exist and is 'usable'.
All the OT2 parameters fit in this non-volatile memory.

Strange. None of board photos show chips that contain RAM (except PIC but linear-like RAM mapping would require other chips for address decoding, that PIC model does not have enough IO lines and not enough RAM either..).

Unless it was hidden behind some other component.

Or simply is a successive release.
Photos is from CUBO CD32 "Laser Gate 2" (Eldorado) edition.
Oden Twister 2 (1999) seem to be one of the latest CUBO games.
And the default parameters require ~1800 bytes, too much for standard 1KB CD32 NVRAM..
