New Retrogaming Blog

Hi folks,

Just thought I'd post this here as it might be of interest to some my fellow retrogamers. I recently started a new blog to publish my retrogaming reviews and news articles on (mostly game reviews/videos at the moment).

There'll be a lot of stuff related to the C64 and Amiga because those were the machines I grew up with, but there'll be articles for other platforms too.

If you do decide to take a look, feel free to leave comments and let me know what you think/how I could improve it - it's early days yet

* Edit 15/03/2018 *
I was recently invited to write content for Vintage Is the New Old so my efforts are going into creating new retrogaming reviews and articles over there!

Ultimately, I think Horrorsoft did an excellent job in crafting an engaging title that fans of adventure games are sure to enjoy. Some of the mechanics may be frustrating and the puzzles somewhat obscure at times, but this is most certainly a game that is the sum of it's parts, combining excellent graphics, audio and pacing to create a truly memorable experience.
Agreed. I also love the atmosphere in this game.

New review for Zorro on the Commodore 64: http://al82retro.blogspot.com/2018/0...modore-64.html

Fairly short as it's not a very big game!

I've always wished Zorro was converted as an Amiga game. I remember playing it back in the day and being amazed by the exploration.. (down a well) (in a cave)
It was very cool for its time.

I played it all the time on my Atari 800xl.

hmmmm.... I may be tempted at having a crack at it.

Yeah I love Zorro on the C64! Still haven't finished, so many years, and I just get rusty!

I have very fond memories of it. One of which is playing the game with my Dad and saying to him about one of the scenes... "You have to go down the rip hole"..... which he found hilarious - as in I didn't realise it meant Rest In Peace.

Just uploaded a new article: A Personal History of Computing: Remembering the Commodore Amiga

I've probably got some of the details wrong, but you might find it interesting (strong coffee required before you tackle it)
