What did you pay for your first Harddrive to your Amiga

Hi!
My first Harddrive was A-590. It was 20 Mb i size and also had 2 Mb of RAM. I remember I payed about 6800 swedish crown, which is about 680€ for it.

The year when I bought it was maybe 1989 or 1990. I don't remember exactly.

It was a Dataflyer for my Amiga 500. I don't remember the size. Guessing around 50Mb. Never filled it either way.

I think it was just under $500 USD. This was around 1987 or so I think.. :-)

I paid 300 NLG for my first HD I suppose that's like ~80-90 GBP? 80 Megs, 1993. I even remember I bought it in Delft. Quite a trip for such a young lad. But man, I was so excited once it booted the first time

If you use an online inflation calculator you'll find that the prices are even higher than you remember.

E.G. $500 in 1987 is $944.26 in today's money.

My first HD (63mb) came in a complete, second hand system: A1200, HD and 1084S monitor for 650 NLG (295 Euros) back in 1995.

My first Amiga was a custom ordered 3000, with a *massive* 120+meg HD and 4 megs of ram!

And to think I got it for the bargain price of $2,500.

£179.99 for a 120MB 2.5IDE HD for my A1200 at the time... don't think that the A1200 had been released all that long at that point.

It was from Silica in Tottenham Court Road, London.

999 Dutch guilders (which is about 400 euro) for 20mb. I brought it back two days after though as even as a kid I realised it was a ridiculously waste of my savings.

I had an 590 back in the day. If I remember it cost around £600.
I later had an A600HD which was around £400.

Image if you take into account todays inflation, .

I remember it exactly, as it was yesterday.

My first one was very old, huge, noisy and slow 3.5" 40MB Western digital, which I tried to connect externally to my A600. The price was 1800,- CZK, which was - in that time - about 33,- GBP

Didn't worked with Amiga, so I swapped it with also very obsolete Longmont Miniscribe 40MB. It worked and I had been using it for a long time. It is still somewhere in my lockers.

3rd one was IBM-DALA 3540 - 540MB 3.5" low profile HDD, which I put inside of my new A1200, where it worked for years. The price was 5400,- CZK, which was equivalent of 100,- GBP.

Years were something between 1994-1996.

About £110 for a 40mb HD for the 600. From an advert from the back of a magazine. Remember being astounded how heavy it was when it came back. It was a joint christmas present fro me and my little brother.
