If there was some kind of hack/unofficial port/AMOS demo of DOTT that you played back in the day, then I'll note it in the entry...
I, in fact, started the argument, and it was that DOTT was released/playable on Amiga, irrespective of it's status. Now, HOL doesn't mention anything about a unofficial port (not counting ScummVM) yet it has been agreed in this thread that there was a port (not ScummVM).

So you can see why I am a bit confused here.

StarEye/CrimsonBlue's original post was nothing to do with unofficial hacks/ports of DOTT. It was about Lucasarts not officially releasing DOTT on the Amiga.

And your first post in the thread was in response to that. So I concur that at that point you believed Lucasarts had officially released it.

The point I'm making is that the HOL is intended to help in these matters.

Ok, I'll agree with that.

But the more pressing issue of whether it was ported has not been properly addressed yet.

There's an adventure creator on the Aminet which creates "'Day Of The Tentacle' like" adventures and comes with a demo adventure using some DOTT graphics:

Somebody also posted pictures of an Italian version of DOTT that was supposedly running on an Amiga:

And as Akira mentioned earlier, Amigaboy posted an unofficial demo in the Zone once. Twistin' Ghost also said that he played a demo of it on the Amiga.

I downloaded the archive to check and it explains in the readme how to play DOTT on the amiga thanks to the program PCTask, so the amiga is just executing (via PCTask) the DOS version of the game and that's where the pics come from.

About the "demo" i have to check at home because i remember i played it and it was just the first screens, but it's possible that it wasn't an official demo but just a hack.

I'll search for the CD it was on and let you know.

Lightbulb

There actually was speculation of an Amiga D.O.T.T. THE ONE February 1994's cover had a headline story in their News section that "The growing catalogue of CD32 software could soon be boosted by the addition of two "instant classics" from the Lucasarts team, if a top secret deal between the Commodore UK team and George Lucas's own software company is agreed.

Although details of the deal remained unconfirmed, sources within Commodore have confirmed to The One that it is close to securing the rights to produce Rebel Assualt and Day of the Tentacle, lucasarts biggest names of 1993 which up until now have been exclusively available to PC gamers.

......However while it is believed that negotiations between Commodore & Lucasarts are quite advanced at this point, it could still be some time before either game reaches your shop, as conversion work would have to be carried out from scratch (its likely this would take place on this side of the Atlantic,to take advantage of the European's Amiga expertise). But if this deal comes off it wouldn't be too much to expect both games to make it to the CD32 before the end of the year"..........

So if it had ever been done, it proabably would've been CD only anyway- a possible AGTW-although in speculation only.

Found at last (sorry for the delay ).

It was on the cover CD of Amiga Games Extra 4/96.

It's a small demo (423K uncompressed) made in Amos, so it surely wasn't released from LucasArts.

If somebody wants it, i can easily zip it and put it in the zone (after Easter).

Did you ever put it up in The Zone? I'm a bit interested in it.
