Winaue and Kaspersky 7.0.125

Hi all,

Kaspersky is detecting a KEYLOGGER inside Winuae.exe ...it's not a real virus but a "Suspicious action dected". I'm adding this .exe in SAFE ZONE of Kaspersky, i think that is a false positive.

Let me know. I'm using winuae 1.4.5 downloaded from a safe place.

Perhaps winpcap uaenet.device support causes this.

winpcap-like network access is apparently common in some type of viruses/keyloggers/etc..

So i can leave winuae.exe in the safe area?

Yes brilliant idea, ditch something that actually detects virus like activity that is obviously doing it's job as it should and replace it with a free resource hog that randomly scans files every five minutes on a whim

Kaspersky 7.0.1.321 was released a few days ago, probably worth updating.

False positives... this can happen, no big deal.
One of the finest Antivirus Products is made by http://www.avira.com/ - there is a free one, too.

I think that all of you should trash your running AV and buy kaspersky...

If you want i can host a file with BAGLE virus...not detected by AVIRA, NOD32, ESCAN etc etc but detected from KAsperky.

I lost 100 giga of data for this inconvenient. So i decided to use Kaspersky, that has some false positives...but better than real VIRUSES :|

Yep i agree better to have some false reports you can sort out manually than to have a program which doesn't do anything. I personally us Kaspersky to and its really good.

Yes kaspersky is an excellent product, nothing to compare with avast, which is free and less powerfull (effective...).

Fact : no Antivirus Software detects all viruses
Fact : even my favorite (avira) gives false positives
Fact : the only way to protect your data is regular Backups
