That's why I don't care about it, no emotion at all. Like to use it to deal with all mass storage and ethernet.

Everything else, CPU/FPU/MMU are in the FPGA, and that's where the fun is ;-)

Great news about the advances on FPU development! I wonder what it's speed is like vs. the raw 68k speed of the Vampire CPU core itself.

Inclined to agree, pitched my pi3 next to a black edition vampire A600 last year and it was neck and neck.

Being affordable to everyone and not just a few is a major plus

yes and when new raspberry,s come out they git faster and faster so in the end will beat the vampire cool i love rpi3 its awesome.

every home should have some in they cool , ace at emulating all kinds of stuff.

Um, the slow one is the Vampire. The good news is that there is a lot of room for improvement. E.g. in the version used for the video the ea-decoding is done by the emulation code despite the fact that the CPU puts the decoded ea into the exception stack frame.

Ahh, OK, see I thought it was a case of the first video being the earliest release of the SoftFPU and the second being a newer revision. My bad.
