Newsflash magazine

Does anyone know where I could get my hands on .adf images of all the old issues of the Newsflash disk magazine?

Hi pmc,

Did you try the diskmags archives which were uploaded to the Zone last week?

The most complete source for these would be:
http://www.exotica.org.uk/wiki/Newsflash

It's reasonably complete. It misses a few issues/disks.
I donated some missing issues long ago (8 years ago??), but I still might have one or two disks which are missing there somewhere in my collection. (havn't looked in it for ages)

The ones I uploaded to you were all added. (I send you issue #24 and #26, but that was 10 years ago+a few months.)

But years ago I was archiving loads of disks to dms/adf to preserve them and I ran accross one or two Newsflash disks which (at that time) might not have been on Exotica (some support disk 'c' I think). I have to copy over the diskcollection when I have the time and recheck those disks to see if they are indeed (still) missing.

I've FTP'ed over part of my diskimage collection from my Amiga to my iMac and checked the Newsflash diskimages. You seem to have all of the ones I have nowadays, so you probably won't need them (unless there are checksum errors in yours).

What you might find interesting though is that I also have diskimages (and I think the originals somewhere) of a commercial diskmagazine called Ami Exchange / A.X. Magazine. They are from 1988 and contain stuff like:
  • an interview with Jim Sachs (who made the graphics for Defender of the Crown)
  • info on virusses which were in the wild at that time
  • showreports, info on new Amiga's (2500/3000)
  • short review of the AmigaDOS 1.3 update
  • articles on Hypertext (from before the world wide web existed) explaining how in the future we may be able to link pages and post comment on newsarticles :P
  • a few Sonix music files
I've got two issues (1.3 and 2.1) and a special (with some PD stuff). So far I couldn't find any mention of this magazine on internet except for an ebay auction which had ended. (with a 'backup'-copy on it of one of the issues).
