Slowly getting there...

Happy New Year,

I had a nostalgia attack during the holidays and decided to continue working on a project of mine after a break of 8 years.... It will probably never run on an Amiga (I use Java) but it definitely brings back good memories

The magic word is "project"

Projects are essential for life, for me it's impossible to live without

So, good luck for your project and happy new year ara

Neat! I'd love to see a modern port of SG2, even if the gameplay was was identical (although hopefully better frame rate. ) I do see an issue in the tunnel screenshot: the tunnels are mirrored east-west from the actual game, as seen at 44:40 in the following video:

Yes, I know, but I am very happy that somebody has noticed it Same for the objects on the planet surface. For example, the silo (the big red object) should be on the other side of the power line.

The planets are waking up

I have the impression that the "Nostalgia & memories" board is not the right one for this. Maybe I should move to the off-topic board? (since it's not running on an Amiga)

Well, it is related to Starglider 2. Let's wait and see how your project evolves and we can then decide the best sub-forum it should go to.

Oh nice, I used to love Starflight 2. I was never any good at it, and never got very far, but it was a lot of fun.
