Returning Amigan
Woo , I'm back !
I haven't touched any of my Amigas for a few years now , but have started to muck about with a Raspberry Pi and I'm quite impressed with what it can do . SonicPi I've read that there is a games emulator called RetroPi , anyone use it ? Can it successfully play Amiga games ? Is there anyway it can play 5 player Bomberman (pretty please!) I still have an A1200 HD , but haven't switched it on for years and don't want to let the magic smoke out ! |

Give people some time. About 40 minutes is no indication that people are not going to talk to you I would check out fs-UAE or win-UAE. Or make it yourself real easy (to start) and check out amigaforever (they have a free version that plays most games). |

If you're going to go down the retropie path then Amiberry is for you. Floob has a wonderful tutorial video
[ Show youtube player ] Otherwise you can go to the Amibian or amiberry website and install a standalone Amibian on a sdcard that can boot up very quickly to the Amiga without the excessive junk retropie has. Amibian https://gunkrist79.wixsite.com/amibian Amiberry https://blitterstudio.com/amiberry/ Many members use Amiga on a Pie, so I am sure you will get many more responses soon. Thank you kindly , I'm never far away but i get distracted easily , currently building noise makers and Eurorack synth modules trying to re-learn Proteus PCB CAD software , attempting to rebuild my home recording studio ,playing with old motorcycles and slotcars .
I've got a dead A600 , might have a go at housing a Pi emulator inside it , (thinks) keyboard might be fun ! Still got A500/590 in the loft , CDTV , A4000 (battery leaked and took out RAM) and I think there's an A1500 somewhere. I'm worried about old hardware going up in smoke , I think the SMD machines (600/1200) are more prone to capacitor deg ? |

I had my A1200 set up on a tiny LG LCD with SCART , but it looked a bit lost , hopefully the better GFX of the Pi will make it more useable on a modern TV . Does anyone know if there's any way of emulating the 4 player parallel gameport on a Pi ? 5 player Dynablaster anyone ! |
