@john1979 - autofire would kill this game as its all about how fast you can hammer the trigger. With auto the game would be a bit pointless. Simplest thing would be to order new microswitches from RS or Maplin or some such. I installed new micros in my zipstick last year and the buttons are now arcade quality and speed. It's very easy to do, and they cost maybe £3 each.
@ lonewolf10 - I just found another door on level 14. Just could not make the end of the game though. |

First evening with Snowbros, a better game than expected.
6057900 On a previous run (died before final boss..) I noticed that there's a lot of lives behind the 48 door. Sadly a family member accidentally pulled the electrics off the wall while doing something nearby. During this run I didn't get behind that damn door.. I watched cadaver get that score and found it very funny when he fell just short of me I prefer to play when nobody is around.. including my dogs.. since I'm easily distracted. |

i dont think we're allowed to swap sides mid-game, but i'm sure we can even out the teams next time with a bit of planning? |

Being serious though for a moment, I am a little worried that the Lemon compo thread is declining at a depressing rate. Last year it was EAB who had maybe only 5 regular players playing the compo season, while Lemon had maybe 10 or 12. At the moment Lemon is down to 5 regulars (Myself, Premmisseth, Mike, Aca0808, and Akabei;- with Biscuit, John4p and Linesmachine all being absent, jPV, mipe, and Parpala showing up in occasional rounds, and Ze Emulatron, Turrican X, ChrisN, Predseda and Simon only appearing in one or two rounds each). I guess this makes the teams more balanced with 5 vs 5, but there is nothing anybody can do about this as its just the ebb and flow of the threads. I'm actually glad that EAB has a great team again after a few tumbleweed rounds last year. I just hope the Lemoners can somehow get it together, especially with the Knockout coming up soon. |

Looking down the list of participants of the last few rounds, it seems to be almost 50/50 Lemon/EAB in terms of participation, and earlier in the season there were more Lemon players in most rounds. |

Some of you may find this interesting. I keep a record of the number of players (total and from each side) and the number of voters for each game. Here's the list up to Pinball Fantasies this year (sorry for the slightly dodgy formatting with the headers, I copied and pasted it into Paint from my spreadsheet):
So out of twelve games eight of them have had more Lemon participants, EAB on three occasions and one all square. Obviously this doesn't take into account how active players are within the round (i.e. how many scores they post) but it does provide an interesting guide. This round has been a bit quiet so far though on the Lemon side especially. It does go in cycles though as capehorn says. I don't think it's necessarily healthy if one side is battering the other constantly but at the minute we seem to have more active and better players overall. I don't think the Lemon side is dying, I used to think that about EAB not so long ago when it really tailed off but it will pick up again at some point. Remember that players can only transfer teams between seasons (our very own transfer window) so if anyone wants to switch sides, you can only do it when the next season starts. (Oh, I am aware I am not very active these days. This is a combination of not really liking many of the games we have played and frankly having other things I would rather fill my time with. However I still put the time into running it with the others and will continue to do so and will play as and when I can - I will certainly be playing this game.) |

That lvl 48 secret room really makes or breaks the score.
