help about scanning etc
letal zone (only the disk)
BC kid (box) phoenix fighters (CD+covers) - i bought this as soon as it was released excellent game gremlins the new batch (box) i notice on the site that these are missing which i have, is this correct, ie, if they arent on the site then they need to be uploaded or has this already been done for these, i couldnt find any info about contributing on the site. if you need these, what resolution and format and size do i scan them at and where do i upload them ? these are only 4 i've noticed so far, but i've got loads of original disks and boxes and magazines lying around so i may have more, but its hard to know whats needed, if i check a game and find things missing, how do i know that someone else hasnt already scanned it and it just isnt up on the site yet ? also i have pucman which was a shareware version i ordered, it is registered to my name in the actual game, i know there was a version released later through f1 i think that had an extra score saving feature which mine hasnt, it came in a small see through disk case with pucman sticker on it and on the disk, does this need scanning ? i wanna help if i can, can you reply with how btw the site looks real nice, just needs abit more on the front page to make it easier to know what the hell is going on |

Hi silkworm !
All the guides and FAQ to help us for scanning should be available at the end of the year, for the launch of a new version of HOL for the moment, simply scan at 300 dpi, and follow those sizes: Double Barrel Screenshot - .png - 640 * 256 pixel Screenshot - .png - 320 * 256 pixel Boxscan - .jpg - 640 * XXX pixel Diskscan - .jpg - 320 * XXX pixel Gamemap - .png - no pixel limit Misc image - .jpg - no pixel limit Conversion screenshot - .png - no pixel limit |

use max jpeg quality, we auto recompress them
you can use our incoming FTP for uploading those pictures (create one folder with your name) ftp / user / pass -> ftp.abime.net / hol / incoming |

I've uploaded these boxes that arent on the site yet.
