At least some license deal has been done with IComp since Jens writes this about the Amiga Reloaded board:

Same for me, I simply interpreted Jens' post on a1k that he (iComp) in the end bought it all by himself without the help of Hyperion.

As usual, it's all clear as mud, maybe Jens just got a license to redistribute or a perpetual "as many as I need" license to use the API. It certainly would be pretty cool if he gets an advanced, working P96 RTG device in Indivisions. I've played around with the RTG for Indivision ECS and while it's a good proof of concept the novelty factor wears off due to some instability and bugs.

Situation has been explained in other forums. IComp weak point has always been software. They hoped that Hyperion would help them with that. What kind of deal has been, or has there been any deal remains unclear.

Since Jens now owns Picasso96, updating his website is not going to be high on his list.
There was a problem with the C64 Reloaded MK2 https://icomp.de/shop-icomp/en/33/it...2-delayed.html Since http://www.1541ultimate.net/content/...=75&Itemid=127 is a direct competitor, the MK2 is likely the highest priority. There is also little reason to publish the Picasso96 APIs until the A1200 Reloaded is available. |
