Save State = Rip Graphics & Mods?
I've Seen a tool that you can use to rip graphics from C64 emulation save states ,Surely its a matter of time before someone will come up with a graphics ripper for the winuae's save states.
I remember having a graphics ripper actually on the amiga ,loading it up after a soft reset to try & get some of the pictures etc out of games.(getting the plane level & offset right was a real pain) ,It may be easier now |

Yes, I remember that same pain all too well of scrolling through memory and trying to piece the shards together into some kind of useable image. I believe I did this with Amiga Action Replay, but there was also some software that I used as well.
At any rate, theoretically you should be able to load a saved state into Exotic Ripper and have it hunt through that for mods. Mind you, there are some exotic mods, however, that do really odd things in memory to make them quite a chore to rip. |
