I bought an A4000! Now to find out how to convert the power supply to 240V from 110v so I don't have to use a step down transformer...

I ran my A4000 from a AT (not ATX!) power supply many years ago. You might be better going down that route. I think Stedy had some options (Google Amiga Stedy).

Cheers I'll take a look. Just a shame that it doesn't seem like an easy change like it is on the A3000. |

The A500flash turned up today, for my A500+. I'll start playing with custom ROMs over the weekend.
First task is to install it. The "manual" is in black and white and stresses the importance of where the red wire goes. Should be an adventure... |

Which makes me wonder why I'm also eyeing up new GFX Cards :/ WOW Quake will run SO FAST!! Actually it is fitting. "upgrading" my PC in bits is something I've not bothered to do in YEARS, and now it's a revived passion. Even shopping for new parts, has a retro feel to it for me. |

I just ordered some tooling and jigs to put together a small desktop mill, with the aim of being able to manufacture and modify small parts neatly without resorting to 3D printing.

I managed to get second Infinitiv tower. I aready had keyboard, 2 floppy drive adptor and PSU. PSU was old so I changed what was inside of it to newer ones.
I actually have also Micronic Scandy scandoubler, but I don't need it with these LCD televisions. |

PS2 lightguns! Compatible with Guncon 1 and 2. Also has recoil mechanism I believe. They're not official Namco ones, but I deliberately chose the others to allow more flexibility in terms of gaming as I read that Namco is limited to their own games that support lightguns.

Only pain so far is, if I'm honest (keeping in mind this is a CHEAP gaming keyboard) the keys feel kinda 3/4 size (but they are normal size. See below). And the "button" to colour swap the LED's is on the bottom right between function and CTRL, so it's easy to hit by mistake. Just compared the key size to my old MS keyboard in the other room, and they're not smaller. So its just an illusion, probably due to the flat keys of the keyboard I was using before. Other than that, for the price, I'm very happy. Keeping in mind all I had on this PC before was the ACER wireless keyboard and mouse that came with the PC. That just felt like a laptop keyboard. Was ok, but this is heaps better. |
