A2000 Rev 6.2 rescue from Battery Death

G'day all, I've mostly finished restoring an A2000 Rev 6.2 from Death by leaking battery ... I've replaced the CPU, ROM & Angnus Sockets plus confirmed continuity across all the traces in the impacted areas and now everything is working perfectly ..... sort of.

Im only getting 512KB of Ram detected and this is a 1MB Board.

and the 512KB tests perfectly from both a Diagnostic Rom and the SysTest Disk:

And it'll happily run a 512KB demo without crashing:

This is the only error I can produce (via Diag ROM):

I've found references to J500 enabling the extra 512KB but this casued the machine to lock up completely at power on - I'm not able to confirm if this is it's purpose either.

any ideas ppl?
