Great Video :)
Found this great music video that pays homage to the ZX Spectrum, and yeah i know its not the Amiga, but it applies to all us guys for whom once owned a C64 ( or maybe some of us did have a ZX ? ).
I like the tape loading error bit. didn't we "all" have to deal with that, and then need to get the screwdriver out and into that little hole in your tape drive to slightly adjust the head, then be forced to readjust it later on again for a different game. lol. Anyway, check it out.... I love it. [ Show youtube player ] |

Yeah, great animation, thanks for reminding us of it blade - it's been a long time since I watched it.
"Hey Hey 16K" was posted all over the net a few years ago, including here, but it's soooo good and catchy that it's always worth a mention for those who've missed it. As DrF said, the original Flash version is much better. The sound, framerate and clarity haven't been massacred by YouTube's horrible compression. Plus you'll get to see the original authors other flash work - some great stuff on his site. If I remember rightly, there is another catchy one using Patrick Moore on the Xylophone and Buffy's swearing keyboard. |

I noticed some people on YouTube complaining those games were 48K. Really missing the point of a catchy little retrotune by being so fussy.
Just had yet another watch of this and love some of the little touches: The A-Team tshirt on the little kid. The line where Sir Clive pops in and says (not exact quote): The Games we have today, Well they might be very flash, But they just can't beat the thrill of, Getting through JetPack! That's so true! The feeling of accomplishment when finishing some of those old titles was huge, especially after a good session on the keyboard! It doesn't quite feel the same on modern games, but it's probably just my age. Last edited by Bloodwych; 30 September 2007 at 12:05. |
