Awesome

Thanks again Fitz!

So I assume you just plug your PCMCIA in the side and that's it? Man ClassicWB is so awesome, now all I need to buy is a PC usb CF reader

Like in my Video you just need to open CLI and type mount CF0:

Or you can move CF0 from Storage / DosDrivers to Devs / DosDrivers

Then it will mount all by it's self each time you insert it (you'll still need to mount it the first time tho)

Yep, and it comes with the mini USB cable, so you're all set!

I have one like that and I use it all the time.

I have got hold of several previously used CF cards, and they were all okay and still are.

Most people selling used CF cards are doing so because they've upgraded to larger capacity devices, so you'll find they're little used.

Well i'm still waiting on the 4GB card because some people can't seem to deliver when expected!

Is there a decent SNES emulator for the Amiga?

There's a Snes Emulator for PPC Amiga's but I couldn't get it to run and I read it's pants anyway.

Nes is just about playable on an 030 if that gives you some kind of expectation.

I remember I could Emulate Snes fairly decent on a P200mmx Laptop so that should give you an idea of the hardware needed, maybe, just maybe a 200mhz PPC could do it

ps. I hope you got the adapter?

Yes mate, thanks for that!

Unlike the person on ebay who couldn't send a first class item even on the day after it was ordered. Some people, geesh

Royal Mail excuses can only go so far lol

Ok guys i've got all the stuff

Do I just place the *.lha files on the CF card and make directories on the PC for all the roms?

Shame that these emulators can't see zip files which pc ones can!

Hmmm

Inserted PMCIA/4GB System PRE-BOOT then it took ages to boot, did the mount CF0: and the system is VERY slow, no CF0 is showing either

EDIT : It's taking between 1-2mins to boot to workbench on a CF

Long ago I made this youtube clip comparing Dynamite Dan executed in my real Speccy +3 and emulated in 3 different Amiga setups: an A600, an A1200 and the same A1200 accelerated to 030 50 MHz.

[ Show youtube player ]

It was ridiculously slow in the A600, just way too slow in the A1200, and... ridiculously fast in the accelerated machine!

Sadly the emu I was using, Speculator, had no way to slow down itself, which would have been the closest hit, but hey, the power was there!
