Looking for game name (tanks/lasers/mirrors)
Ok.
The game goes like this: there are multiple levels in which you drive and position various tanks (some with mirrors on the top as turrets) to deflect a laser ball that you shoot from one spot to another spot on the other side of the map. The view is top down, and there are other level-based mirrors and obstacles that you need to maneuver this laser ball through. There were various well-done intro and level complete screens, and I remember the loading screen was this atomic explosion with sound effects. I THOUGHT the game was called Laser Warz, or Light Wars, or something like that, but I can't find anything on that. Has anyone played this and know what it's called? |

Well, I checked both those out and neither of them are the game I'm talking about, although the second one looks similar in concept.
Maybe this was some super independant game that me and my brother managed to get our hands on, but I really doubt it, because Amiga-wise the graphics and sound were well above par. I just e-mailed him, and he is pretty confident that the game was called Light Force, and to me that sounds right. Anyone know of a different Light Force that features tanks with mirrors? Again, there were well-done art loading screens, like the atomic explosion, and I think one that depicted a dropship, loading off these tanks... I know it wasn't the original disk we had, it was definately a copy, so maybe we labelled the game wrong from whoever we got it from. Does the description jog anyone's memory? |

Actually I just found it! Yes! There's a great ROM site I had no idea about.
http://www.planetemu.net/?section=ro...wrom&id=334892 This is the game, but it has a copywrite question. Do the people that crack the games usually include some sort of manual? There's no way I still have the manual from way back in the day back home. Hmmm... |

Thanks man!
I don't suppose you've read my other post about the game One on One? It's a basketball game if you don't know. Essentially, I've got it now on a compilation disk with Archon I and II, but I keep getting a Software Failure Guru med. error when I try and load it. Is that a configuration issue or a bad .adf? |

@Andreas
I can confirm it's a commercial title. Was developed and published by TSA Media, who were a developer/publisher based 30 minutes from where I live. They only ever released Lightforce and Boomeraid and considered both to be edutainment titles rather than pure games. Lightforce was reviewed as an edutainment title in Amiga Format Xmas 1990 issue and also previewed in a U.S. mag. Think it was reviewed in an Aussie mag too (i.e. Australian Commodore and Amiga Review). Why do you ask anyway? |
