Colour flickering

Hi,

I'm using my A600 on a plasma screen - using the yellow video out to connect up. However, the colours keep flickering, especially blue/red. For example the title bar of a window which should be blue, flickers every so often to light red etc.

Any tips of how I should/could solve this?

I can't say that I remember the flickers before I got the CF card and installed ClassicWB etc.

Use the RGB SCART connection and forget composite, for starters?

Indeed but where do I put the 2 audio cables, since the scart is hogging that input up?

Strange issue to come out of the blue.

Apart from trying another connector as Jope said, I don't know what else to suggest. You can boot into safe mode or CLI by holding the left or right mouse buttons - but I'm sure it'll still do the flickering as it sounds like a connector/cable issue.

Well using the RGB seems to get rid of the flickering, however, I can't see a way around this audio connection. The RGB scart takes up scart input 1, therefore I can't plug in audio to the tv.

One thought was this:

I was thinking I could convert the RGB into a VGA cable (using my monitor cable from my PC), to connect into the PCinput on the TV, which has 2 audio input slots next to it.

On a lot of early A600 motherboards there is a fault which affects the RF and composite when using the PCMCIA port.

What do you mean? Your Amiga RGB scart cable should have two RCA phono cables which plug into the Amiga L/R audio.

The audio goes into the TV via the Amiga RGB SCART cable.
