Thanks for this modrobert... but to be honest I'm not a massive fan of "forced" trainers; better to have a proper trainer where the user can choose options on / off etc...

The "joystick1 fire button1 for jump" is cool though, especially as it leaves "up" also so people can choose what suits them best

Maybe one of the coders / crackers could implement a proper trainer with the final disk that's in The Zone! and soon to be on earok.net.

musashi9 / Galahad / StingRay / ross; who's up for this?

Cheers @modrobert.. I may hijack that jump patch for a CD32 edition or the like though I suppose there's no reason it couldn't go in other versions too..

This may be some interest - Paul Tankard, who was the developer of the unfinished and unreleased A500 edition (it seems the AGA version was outsourced, and Paul was totally unaware that it was actually released until recently) is on the Facebook Commodore Amiga group. Something interesting he pointed me at was his Gameboy port - [ Show youtube player ]

NOTE: please make yourself a patched ADF, to activate trainer use this command line "Plumpy ross"

Before warfalcon released the Flashtro trained version; I was working on the disk with modrobert's / ross's patch for:

a) fire button = jump
b) unlimited lives

I updated the disk with the patched "Plumpy" file, modified the menu and the keymaps:



Plumpy (1996)(LT Design - F1 Licenceware)(AGA)(LW)[f levels earok][t +1 ross].zip is also in The Zone!

I've got the time to finish my job

Plumpy ultimate edition.

Fix:
- jump (modrobert fix)
- flashtro (there is a bug in "unlimited energy")
- assign (not needed anymore if started from hdd)
- workbench (start properly from cli, icon, disk or hdd)
- system compliant (patch is thru hunk injection, no more lowmem tampering)

Credits:
earok, levels fix
modrobert
flashtro (warfalcon/siriax), intro trainer
damiend, why not?

EDIT: in the zone!
DamienD, free to change the file name, is really too long..

Wow, Plumpy is getting sooooo much attention

...just checked out your "ultimate" version ross.

Firstly, I love the way that the Flashtro trainer only kicks in after pressing "F1" to "Load Plumpy."

Secondly, I have to ask:

As for naming your file; difficult as many people have helped...

Personally I'm going with:

Plumpy (1996)(LT Design - F1 Licenceware)(AGA)(LW)[f levels earok][t +5 Flashtro - ross].adf

...not sure how to incorporate modrobert's "jump = fire button" patch into the name so will have to leave that for the TOSEC guys

You don't even have to ask that question, of course you can

...if it wasn't for you fixing the broken levels in the first place and then posting about it; we would still be stuck with an incompletable / untrained version

It has been a great community effort afterwards though to arrive at the "ultimate" version, many thanks to all involved

Cheers, it'll be on earok.net in a couple of days or so.

On the topic of naming schemes I uh.. don't know what the numbers after T mean :S I assume that reflects the number of options in the trainer, or the version of the trainer or..?
