It can be added to the Open Source thread as an example of a program that would have been completely lost and suffered from a lack of updates if it had remained closed?

D.

Except you're not allowed to modify or distribute derivative works according to the licence, so I'm not sure how that helps except from a preservation/nostalgic interest point of view :P

My interest was purely curiosity / nostalgia driven.

Don't want to see it? Don't download it. :-)

the Museum grants you a non-exclusive and non-transferable license for a single user, solely for your individual, personal and non-commercial purposes, (a) to load and install the Software; (b) to compile, modify and create modifications or enhancements of the Software or any of its components ("Derivative Works"); and (c) to run the Software or Derivative Works on simulators or hardware.
So there you go - now someone can compile it for OS4 PPC and OS4 PPC will have DPaint 1.0

Same here, so much appreciated

Quite interesting to see a full commercial Amiga program done entirely in C. Disregarding all the utility code that's added to it, the main application code is surprisingly compact.

Well, 10 (11) since yesterday. Not much of an interest, is it? Nobody's elaborating about src quality, compiler settings, structure of program, bugs, nostalgia, early memories......

Anybody recompiled the src yet?
e.g.
U.S.A. forum
German forum

Can you post links, these screenshots aren't really helping anyone work out anything.

How's your analysis of the source code going? Recompiled it yet?

Links? Just visit the usual ones. There are not much left (Hint: try amiga.org and a1k.org). I did not compiled it yet because of (failed to config c-compiler) kind of errors. I'm a BlitzBasic guy, so i can read and understand the provided src because it is well written and therefore in some way similar to BB2 but i don't know how to setup a C-compiler to simply create an executable out of it. It is just crazy.

Frank Wille compiled a working version. Details are on the A1k forum.

Btw, he is an active user over here too.
