Multivolution 500
Hi,
I just got my hands on one of these: http://amiga.resource.cx/photos/multievolution500 I don't bought it intentionaly and it just cost my about 20€ so I'm not sure what to do with this. This is what happens if I plug this into my A500. The light goes to red and the HDD stars making funy noise. Then i got a violet boot screen and thats all. Without the extention my a500 boots like it should. I think the HDD is broken. Can I replace it? What kind HDD I need if I can replace it? And last: If I can and I have replaced the HDD what can i do with it? I hope you don't mind my silly questions but I'm new to this and need to start somewhere. BR HRM |

You could get some SIMMs for it as well and boost your Amiga's memory...

SCSI 2 controller
FAS216 controller IC uses polled I/O, not DMA transfer autoboot ROM - autoboots even under Kickstart 1.2 version 2.2 and below does not support streamers and is not RDB compatible 50 pin internal header DB25 external SCSI connector place for a 3.5" hard disk inside the case disable switch connects to side expansion port, no passthrough connector A-Max II and Medusa drivers MacroSystem version (1991) two 30 pin SIP sockets for up to 8 MB RAM accepts 1 or 4 MB SIPs in pair Off Limits version (1993) two 30 pin SIMM sockets for up to 8 MB RAM accepts 1 or 4 MB SIMMs in pair the same PCB is used for the Zorro II version |

Would be nice if someone can help me here. First of all i'll try to find an old scsi disk... there must be one... in my stuff here... It's equipped with some memory... hmmm, have to take another look, to find out how much... If i can get this running... what would be the benefit for me? Besides the Ramextention? BR HRM |
