yes...of course there are exceptions and exlcusive linux games ...but usually the software there is very buggy...
and...the most of Linux users are rare or a bit lunatics...not high IQ
please note that this is not personally for you

btw & out of topic,

The first guy I know that uses linux on internet was a guy called himmie
He was the funder of the famous channel #amiga_warez on galaxynet.. ...1996 maybe
He is still there 24hs/day alone with his linux bots
That bots are insane and are coded to kick, talk and insult ppl and to call the other users lamers, and other stupids things
nobody joins the channel anymore since long time ago.....but he is still there ...I can't believe and I can't understand that insane mind

Errr... so you have your own personal experiences, that is fine. But then you go ahead and apply what you think you know to an entire community??? What have all those thousands of people done to deserve such slander from you?

sorry gimbal....don't take it seriously or personally...you know...there are exceptions and good ppl everywhere

and I haven't much experience but the first linux I tryed was debian 68k on my A1200/apollo 1240...year 1998...then I tryed red hat on the PC...and the last chance was ubuntu
I will not try any linux anymore
I have been frustrated due the lack of good software there...that's all

Linux users are less than 1 % right now and that small number is decreasing day by day....sincerely I can't see much future on linux

Funny... Most of the stuff I read, seems to show Linux's market share going up...

Anyway, this is all a bit irrelevant as all I was REALLY trying to do was whine about the lack of a Linux version for the new version of ePSXe

Gimbal, i LOVVVVVE silent hill! Its an amazing game on the ps1 and the thought of a pc version gives me a semi. Ive just googled it and found its by silentscape studios in 2004.

Unfortunatly its epsxe with iso of silent hill bunged in 1 exe.

What a bummer, i can do that anyways WITH hi res textures........

Doesn't psX need a 3D chipset? If thats the case, then I can't use psX, meaning I need ePSXe

No 3D on your computer?

As for pSX, it's compatibility list is still not the best, but it's getting there. Haven't seen new release in a while...

pSX is pretty good. I think psxauthor is working on PS2 emulation in it at the moment.

I found a better PSX emulator. Somebody put the software into a very small chassis with a PSOne label. Works fine here.

Nope, just a 8mb 2d chipset. If I baught a new computer with a good 3d chipset, then all I would do is play games all day.

Hmm, is that a problem?
I know what you mean Thorham, but you'll soon discover that it drops back to the normal level after the first 'rush'

I think I must look at ePSXe again. I haven't played any PSX games for a while and with a new release it definitely worth a try.

As far as I know it doesn't need a 3D chipset, 8 mb might still be a bit small though.

pSX isn't as compatible as ePSXe and it doesn't enhance anything.

It's good, but doesn't compare at all well to ePSXe.
