Free magazines and cover disks - pickup only

I need the space, so I am offering my whole collection of Amiga magazines and cover disks for free.

I don't have the time to sell them or sort out shipping (the cost would be too high anyway), so it is pickup only I am afraid. If you can get to the UK postcode RH6 9QR they are yours. Ideally I would like to get rid of them all in one go.
Sunday afternoons are good for me.

You will need to bring some boxes to put them in.
I hope you are feeling strong as I won't be able to help you carry them to your car.

There are approximately:-
141 Commodore User / CU Amiga (1986-End)
98 Amiga Computing (1989-End)
44 Amiga Format (Various issues)
+ booklets
430 Cover disks in boxes

To save you the trouble, I ADF'd all of the cover disks using disk2fdi+parallel cable and put them on a CD, you can have that as well.

The magazines are all in "well read" condition, with some edge discolouration. A few of the old Commodore Users have tape on the covers. Some of the disk boxes are a bit tatty.
The dust is also free!

The whole lot is no problem.
I don't need to urgently get rid, so a timeframe to suite you will be OK.

Hi Djay,

I think .IPF files would be required for SPS.

I would appreciate a copy of that CD if you could send me one!

And, of course, I would cover your costs.

As I understand it, you should confirm with IFW that you are willing to dump the disks for SPS, and they will make the software available for you to do this.

Disks dumps are usually emailed back to them by return, but as you will have so many disks to dump, maybe sending a CD-R will be a better solution.

Of course, I may be wrong about the requirement for .IPF dumps of coverdisks, and in that case the .ADFs would be perfectly satisfactory.

GPB250? That's insane.

So what's the status? Mort... would you be willing to dump them?

The cover disks I have no knowledge to dump, Most of the mags I have scanned and are available on the Amiga magazine rack, any that are not scanned will see if David can sort out the mia`s I have and recycle the rest as that should alleviate any nasty courier bills for unecessary paperwork duplicating what I have already got plus i would get nagged about the Cr*p I am collecting as herself would say.

Mort showed interest in a few of them to complete his scanning. I PM'd him the other day and I haven't heard back yet.

Hi David,

If Mort doesn't get back to you, could I take the collection instead, please?

It would be a shame to see those magazines destroyed for the want of a few scans which I could do anyway.

Thanks.

I will give him a few more days, he may be on holiday.

Don't worry, you are next in line!
