WHDLoad - do i really need the original disks?

Hi,

does WHDLoad really need the original disks of the games?

Or does it work with budget-releases (like from Kixx) too?

Thanks,

Original means "uncracked", not the first (original) release. It depends, if budget versions for a specific install are supported by the slave coder.

Budget releases are usually supported too.

The cracked versions have altered code. The can't create a slave for each and every possible version original or cracked.

This is great!

Don't get me wrong, but it makes no fun to install every game from disk manually... i own many original games but 50% of the disks don't work anymore.

Hehe it ain't that bad.

Well at least not if you install every once in a while when a new slave surfaces.
