mainly Benefactor, that seems to be one of the most underrated game ever )
I was going to say Benefactor but as it is a platform game as well, I was not sure if I should post this game name.

I was never really into puzzle games, but my favourite was Bombazul. It was frustrating, yet quite addictive.

BTW, is Jumping Jackson considered a puzzle game? If so, I enjoyed playing that very much too.

That game is one of those which have been converted a darn lot of times, and then some.

The most addictive puzzle games I ever played was the Boulderdash series on C64. Thankfully Guido Mersmann made a truly authentic shareware/PD Amiga conversion. Other than the Boulderdash games, I really like Minskies Furballs (Amiga; devilish Tetris game), Devious Designs (Amiga; highly underrated and a little quirky), Chips Challenge (Atari Lynx, Amiga), Bob's Bad Day (Amiga; maddening game), Skweek (Amiga), and The Power (Amiga; a little simplistic, but the music enhances the game hugely).

Don't forget PUZZNIC and its IBM PC clone "Brix".
The clone is done by Michael Riedel and it's real challenging stuff...

And Atomix ...

Puyo Puyo indeed was probably released to every machine that had a market in Japan .... here in the west, the name was usually changed..

For everyone who liked Puyo Puyo games , try the MSX version.. although it doesn't have the 1p vs CPU mode, it has the Puzzle mode, where you need to acomplish missions... it's very cool..

Shadowen : Devious Designs (Amiga; highly underrated and a little quirky)

And a little too easy I thought, well after getting it to actually work.

Smile Minskies Furballs

Let's bring this thread back to life again...

My definite, favourite all-time puzzler for Amiga is Minskies Furballs.
I discovered this Puyo Puyo clone only a couple of weeks ago when I wanted to grab some screenshots.

The clone outclasses the original in its sheer wackyness of characters (listen to the samples of the trio of bears for example), playability (the use of extra bombs, lasers and speed-ups is great) and general low learning curve.

The game is for me already the surprise discovery of the year.

Are we just talking Amiga?

If not then Puzzle Bobble rocks, very fun when playing vs mode

We ripped off everything to make it as it was. Most closely linked to Kirbys Avalanche on Super Nintendo

@Galahad,
Were you involved in the development of Minskies Furballs?

Ripped-off or not, it has been an eternity since a game had me playing it for hours on end. Minskies does.
