This sounds interesting. Will it be a direct port of the Amiga version or are you intending to use the PC / SNES version for assets?

A few of you have said there are plenty of colour but I personally find the palette on the first level anyway a bit to bland. The VGA version is so much better in that respect.

A few things I'd like to see fixed if possible:

- Ability to walk and shoot at the same time
- Annoying 1 hit death, would a life bar be possible, even 3 bars to take 3 hits.
- In shooter sections an ability to turn round and shoot backwards as at present its near impossible to dodge enemies from behind.
- Possible better use of colour, especially in the first level. Would it be possible to use the VGA assets from the PC port?

As for music, personally I like the original Amiga music so perhaps if you go CDDA music I wouldn't change it to much.

It's weird, that this game is the way it is on the Amiga.
Clearly someone knew his tech, but the design is so different from the SNES version.

I mean, apart from the toxic palette, what's the reason the protagonist looks so different here?

As far as im aware, the Amiga version was lead version and the rest followed.

I think the Amiga version is the best one.
No need to change gfx or Paula audio.
Well, I think/hope an option to choose between original Paula audio and the CD quality one could be easily made available?

That way everybody wins.

PS: by the way, I've just noticed this thread exists, so I guess my recent news submission isn't needed anymore; sorry, I should have made a forum-wide search BEFORE posting :-\

Any details, what you actually did on the game mechanics and sprites/graphics? The main character is stiff anyway. I would probably replace the whole thing.

well, that was planned at first, but it seems that the character will stay that way. I ripped the sprite data from it, but seems that noone is going to re-design it with the same palette and all.

We'll see.

absolutely. All levels work with superb CD music and no graphical glitches on real hardware, and jump as blue button. Also features a CDXL animation intro.

It's also possible to play the game with the original on-chip music.

Great news on CD _and_ chip music, jotd. Thanks!

Just a bit sad, that the main character is not changed, it seems.

I don't know, not up to me I just hope it's a physical copy, because it's not super easy to burn a disk with audio on it.

I definitely didn't fix the price I'm only the developper. Of course, since this game is "freely" available in a lot of compilations & abandonware sites (even without the audio), the price can be a deterrent.
