Some AmigaVision Questions...

I just have some random questions on how to use certain things in AmigaVision 1.53, and hopefully someone will know them. I looked at some of the examples included on the tutorial disks, but I'm still kinda confused.

1) I'm working on a project where I want the user to be able to click on a hotspot and have it switch to another image. I can do a slideshow, but I want the user to be able to click on certain hotspots in an image and move to another depending on which one you clicked. All I can figure out is to have a hotspot play a noise.

2) Is it possible to play MOD music, or only SMUS?

That's all I really need to know. Thanks.

And actually, I uploaded a quick thing I made in AmigaVision earlier to The Zone if anyone's curious. You'll need a copy to view it, of course.

IIRC AmigaVision includes a player package allowing you to create shows/presentations for anybody to view. Even if they haven't got AmigaVision

Oh, really? Well this disk only has about 100k or so free with all the samples and images thrown on it. Not sure if it'd be able to fit the player or not, but maybe I'm wrong. I'll have to look into it soon. Where would I find that on the six disks?

Ok. I'm not sure what my version is but I should be able to find the same one as you.

Did you manage to sort out your question 1?

Nah, still haven't figured out question 1 yet. Slideshows with images and audio and clicking on a hotspot and playing a sound is pretty much what I know how to do so far.

I enjoyed your Steely Dan show - I have never really played with Amiga vision, I have V2.04 installed and there is an AV player you can install. It looks great fun to play with but for some reason I just opted to use Scala for my slide shows as it seemed a bit more accessible - might be tempted to have a play with AV when I get a minute.

If you like Steely Dan - I always enjoyed this song...

@tpgb12

Just managed to have a quick look at this.

I used this a lot years ago. It's surprising how much you forget over the years.

Version 1.71 is on the EAB FTP.

There is also a Tutorial Disk (Tutorial Disk 1) that uses Text boxes to move to different parts of the Presentation.

I'll have a proper play tomorrow and see if I can refresh my old Grey cells

There was a late upgrade to AmigaVision called AmigaVision Pro — released around the time of the release of the A4000.

If you need it, I can upload it to the Zone.
