Voyager from VaporWare released under GPL

The old Web Browser Voyager by VaporWare has been released under the GPLv3

A nice piece of history preservation here and there is quite some curious stuff in the code such as support for running on CaOS the AmigaOS-clone for the Met@Box/PIOS, which i never knew if it ever got up to the point of working.

However, don't get your hopes up that someone can update this to a 'modern browser' :-)

grab it from here: https://zapek.com/software/voyager/

Voyager v3 sources released

Considering what's written in the readme, it would be amazing if someone could complete its CSS support, even though seeing what happened to AWeb and IBrowse I'm definitely not holding my breath.

Wow nice, i was hoping the sources got released one day.
This is still a pretty good browser for classic Amiga (it rivals Ibrowse for sure)

Good news !
If someone can compile it to make an executable version free under GPLv3 license.
There's also a little history of ambient that sound interesting : https://zapek.com/software/ambient/

Browsing zapek's website some more, two other things stood out: OpenMUI and CaOS [an AmigaOS-like operating system written for embedded devices].
First time I heard of both: does anyone have got any more info on them?

As far as i remember CaOS was supposed to be the OS for the Met@box 1000 Coldfire based set top box

I tried compiling it - it’s missing some header files unfortunately

It is easy to contact Voyager author. All needed details are on that site. Maybe you could ask about them?

Voyager is included in AmigaInABox and it runs there. Can't you take what's necessary from there?

not sure what you mean.
first of all, one should not define MBX support, this is CaOS related. perhaps then you might be able to relatively fast compile 68k version given you acquired the headers of third party mui classes. at least the autor sounded so.

now, im trying to compile it for aros. no much point in it and not that much hope that even if compiled it will work, just an excercise on my part, so to say.

I would love to get the sources for AmTelnet - mostly so I can trim down that insanely long copyright string that takes the entire screen bar on PAL displays, haha
