New stuff at AMI Sector One
Now there is no excuse for anyone not using Directory Opus, as it is now available legally for free in the newest update at AMI Sector One. Get it here:
http://amiga.emucamp.com/diropus4.htm And of course, go here... http://amiga.emucamp.com/index2.htm for all the other new goodies in the update, which also features OctaMED Soundstudio 1.0, Adventures Through Time, Skweek and Super Skweek, among others. |

Ah well, I don´t like Directory Opus, I will stick to DiskMaster 2, smaller memory usage, faster load and more intuitive, but thats only MHO

Well I will stay with Workbench. I tried Dir Opus, but with a standard A1200 it seems unbelieveably slow and memory hogging.

Hey that's great news! I tried Directory Opus Magellan 5.1 with my A600, and it seemed a bit of a hog.
I still like the older versions, which do not replace the workbench (if you want to), but I stick with DirWork. It's small, very customizable and great. I love it, been using it for 7 years |

I couldn't stand the Directory Opus Magellan versions... but DOpus 4 was, and always will be, the greatest file manager ever, on any platform

@Jambo
I share your opinions. But magellan works and feels like windows explorer in some ways which makes me ask myself if microsoft just copied magellan's functionality within windows explorer or not. However I don't know which one is made earlier. |

Well, I have been wanting to check out Magellan for some time. Thanks to this thread, I have lost interest!
And for me, the DOpus 4 line is the best. From 5.0 on up, I didn't like the floating windows or the direction it was taking towards replacing WB. I only wish some of the plug-ins for Opus 5 were available for Opus 4! |

Yes, do not try Magellan. It's quite arse! I agree with everyone here, DOpus 4 is the best.
