You misunderstand. I mean a synth chip in *ADDITION* to Paula's PCM audio. You could include a Yamaha-style FM chip (like the Genesis and X68k), or some sort of "Super SID" PSG with 16 channels or something. This would give you the flexibility of having lots of channels of audio along with the ability to generate arbitrary waveforms.
