Lol this reminds me of the conversation I had with the wife only 2 days ago.

Me: So just so there are no surprises, there's an Atari Jaguar up for sale locally that I'm "watching".

Her: So....this is never going to end is it?

My wife: "Ok, but you've already got a games machine. Why do you need a new one and why is it different?"

I simply answer "shoes".

I actually strongly request her to throw away / donate shoes, bags and coats if she wants to buy new ones. The universe needs to stay perfectly balanced.

I still haven't won the battle for drawers though.

My wife actually supports my hobby a lot. Even though some of those questions do arise from time to me "Why do you need another gaming machine" and "Its never going to end, is it?" (Which, yeah, "shoes" is a good answer usually" ), she does help me organizing my stuff, she bought my my XBOX 360 as a xmas gift, she gave me the furniture where I put most of my old-school consoles, when I used to do retrogaming sessions with lots of people at my home she would help me clean the house and organize everything...

I really can't complain to be honest.

Doesn't work for me. I have more shoes than her somehow lol.

Her hobby is "crafting" (not witch craft, allthough when she goes away on a weekend retreat I do wonder).

And her hobby pays for itself as she sells what she makes.

And I have another hobby with 4 wheels sitting in the garage.

But no...I'm not paying $750 (£400) for an Atari Jag with 3 games, when I see them going for half that in the UK lol.

My wife's hobby is animals so it's a balancing act between how much retro stuff I buy vs how many animals can physically fit in the house.

Considering the size of my retro collection you'll not be surprised to hear she has 2 dogs, 1 snake, 2 other lizards, 1 rabbit and 13 (yes 13!) guinea pigs.

She's been after another dog now for ages which I really don't think we need so I'm waiting for the tf360 to drop then I might relax my 3rd dog views.

That's funny. That's almost a valid premise for a TV show if you ask me, it will need to be exaggerated with some unorthodox animals of course. Couple of spiders, some rats, maybe a pet turtle that always gets lost but turns up at the end of every episode in some weird place. And a pony.

She has previously had rats and a pet turtle but they died. She doesn't like spiders but has had pet snails before (massive things) and I'm keeping the Pony idea up my sleeve for an A4000.
